Young Scholar Awards
Sponsored by the International Conference of East-Asian Association for Science Education 2011
- Qualification:
Master or Ph.D. candidates or young scholars who had graduated within the last 5 years.
Submitted papers must be accepted for oral presentation or poster presentation at EASE 2011 Conference.
- Number of Recipients: 10-15 candidates
- Grant: US$200 per candidate
- Applying Period: July 1 - August 15, 2011

A scanned copy of graduation certificate (of Bachelor, Master, or Ph.D. degree) /
student ID card (as current Master/Ph.D. candidates or current status of young scholar)
(English version of certificate is preferred for candidates from Asia area)

The review committee of EASE 2011 will reply about your submission for Young Scholar Awards.
Each applicant must confirm that you have received reply from review committee members.
If you have not received any reply from review committee of EASE 2011, please contact them again.
- Awardee Notification:
The awards for Young Scholars will be presented at the Closing Ceremony on Oct. 28th.
The Certificate of Young Scholar Awards will be inscribed with the title of the award, the information of the recipient, and the title of the paper.
Outstanding Paper Awards
Sponsored by the International Conference of East-Asian Association for Science Education 2011
- About the Award:
The Outstanding Paper Awards are awarded to authors whose papers are judged to be outstanding contributions to EASE 2011 Conference.
The number of awardee is depending on the quality of papers but will not exceed the two.
The selection of a single paper is challenging, because of the great diversity of subject-matter, research approach, and evaluator's perspectives.
- Selection Process:
All full papers submitted through the website of EASE 2011 before the deadline of August 15, 2011 will be eligible for consideration, but only oral presenters are eligible for the award.
- Selection Criteria:
The following criteria will be applied. These are not blinding on the Award Selection Committee.
- Conceptual/Theoretical background
- Research Approach
- Presentation and interpretation of research
- Conclusions
- Craftsmanship/Communication
- Significance of the Study
- Creativity
- Presentation
- Awardee Notification:
The Outstanding Paper Award Certificate will be presented to the winners at the Closing Ceremony of EASE 2011 on Oct. 28th.
The Certificate of Outstanding Paper will be inscribed with the title of the award, the information of recipient, and the title of the paper.
